The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) was launched in Brussels in March 2007. EGBA’s mission is to promote fair competition for European online gaming operators and to give European consumers the choice to access all European licensed and regulated controlled online gaming services that are provided lawfully in their country of origin.

The Malta Remote Gaming Council is an autonomous body set up in 2005 whose members are stakeholders in the Remote Gaming industry in Malta. The Council acts as one voice for its stakeholders to put forward suggestions, complaints and other initiatives to the relevant authorities. The principal aims of the Council are: to provide a forum for discussion; the attainment of the highest possible levels of sustainable development within the Remote Gaming Industry; to act as the voice of the industry and to provide input towards all issues relevant to the Remote Gaming Industry including regulatory matters, technical standards and benchmarking; to promote fair and responsible gaming; to establish and promote trade guidelines and practices that enhance consumer confidence; to assist and make recommendations to the relative authorities in conducting arrangements involving the organisation of any programme or information campaign, with the aim of combating irresponsible or illegal gaming, or gaming by under aged persons; to build credibility in the Remote Gaming Industry; to generally promote and enhance the industry.
